One of the great things about living on the Oregon coast is all the many free activities you can do. There should never be a reason to say you're bored here. I guess though you could say it on a rainy day if you aren't up for a wet adventure. This past summer in Lakeside they hosted a free fishing day. They had several booths, one where kids won prizes, Jared won some bait and Gaven won a little pink fishing pole which was great because at that time it was his favorite color, he was thrilled. They also served lunch and gave the kids a coupon for a free cone from DQ for wearing a life jacket. Each child was allowed to catch one fish in the lake where they set up a huge net off the dock filled with fish for a guaranteed catch. They also cleaned the fish for the kids that was great for me. Gaven caught the biggest fish and he was so excited. It was such a fun day and it was all free I couldn't believe it!

Looks like a lot of fun for your kids…my dad used to take me fishing as a kid but it was more of a marathon in endurance.
I love that his favorite color was pink. That is so cute!
